Chronicle Movie Review.

Ok now this movie to me was mainly one of those movies that was mostly WTF? Moments. I went into this movie thinking itll be at least good and decent, which it was decent at the most. The trailers left me guessing on alot of things for the movie, like what the thing in the ground was and how it works and gives them the powers. But heres the thing in the movie when they see the thing in the ground and get the powers they come back but the cops tell them to go and thats it. The thing in the ground that they found is only in it for maybe 5 minutes tops and then its forgotton about for the rest of the movie. Thats one thing that got me like why couldnt they go back or something an dig more into the thing that gave them their powers but of course not instead lets have an hour and a half movie about three guys playing with moving toys and moving shit. Its fine for the first like 10 maybe! 20 minutes but then after that it gets really old really quick, even later on when they start flying that gets old. I almost fell asleep to be honest by it, like I dont wanna see 2 hours of 2 guys jerking around with powers! The trailer and idea for the movie was based off what gave them their powers and yet like nothing on what it was. That really annoyed me. And thats the other thing the “found footage” part Ive got one question about that. Um may I ask WHY that was needed! Like I feel the movie would of been better with out that extra part and half the time it flips from one of the guys cameras to the girl and back and forth it gets really annoying, and at the end when the two cousins are fighting it goes from like 30 different peoples cameras like wtf! It annoyed the shit out of me. Honestly I didnt like this movie and I at the most say rent it on a day that must be really boring for you and watch it. Im actually thinking about going to my local movie theater and asking for my money back it annoyed me so much. I dont care if you like my thoughts or not but thats what I think of Chronicle. I give Chronicle a 5 out 10.

SafeHouse Movie Review.

After seeing the trailers and clips of this movie I thought itd be a good action movie with some good action packed moments. And it had just that, good action packed moments with some unexpected moments that were sadly ruined cause I saw them coming being the big movie watcher that I am I saw alot of the things that happened coming from a mile away, there was supose to be a kinda twist ending like a what? thing but since the beginning of the movie I had it all figured out. With that said I’m not calling this movie bad its a very decently good action movie that I feel could of been saved for a rainy day at home. Not that worth for the big screen experience. There werent to many things I was mad about. The action was good and the cast and lead actors were great in the end. Like I said, the only problem I had was my ability to know what happens next before it does which to be honest is probably mainly my fault, I just feel they should of tried to make those secrets that were supose to make me go What? better so when it happened I can honestly say “I didnt see that coming!?” or something like that. Ryan Reynolds and Denezel Washington did great in this movie and he did a good job “getting in Ryans mind” in the movie very good acting. All in all good quality action movie that if you wanna see in theaters go for it, but I would reccomend waiting to watch when it comes out to DVD probably. Good acting, Good action all in all I give SafeHouse a 7 out of 10.

New Resident Evil 6 Video Game Details.

About a month ago, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 6 is coming to stores on November 20 (watch the announcement trailer and they revealed the following description then:

It has been ten years since the incident at Raccoon City and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place. Raccoon City survivor and personal friend of the President, Leon S. Kennedy, arrives to find the President transformed beyond recognition by a bioterrorist attack. Leon is forced to make the hardest decision he has ever made.

At the same, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance Member, Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack.

Now, the video game company has released more details about the anticipated game:

We already know Chris Redfield heads to China at some point in this global BOW outbreak, but where exactly in China is he? That’d be a fictional coastal town called Lanshiang, which joins the ranks of Raccoon City and Twin Oaks as locations overrun by creeping monsters. As for the time period, we can also confirm Resident Evil 6 takes place in 2013, putting it a few years after Resident Evil 5.

Speaking of the BOWs, here’s the rundown on some of the baddies you’ll face:

ZOMBIES

Classic undead return, but even these guys have stepped up their game. As seen in the trailer, some have figured out weapons can expose precious brain matter quicker than teeth and nails, while others are content to leap at you with ravenous intent.

J’AVO

The BSAA named these creatures after the Serbian word for “demon;” they’re even more dangerous than the typical zombie, and are capable of understanding speech and coordinating attacks. That said, they’re still mutated monstrosities, so they’re not exactly calm or collected when it comes to tactics.

When injured, a J’avo can regenerate itself, but doing so leaves the body prone to further mutation. The arm above probably started off as a usual appendage, but Chris’ attacks have caused the J’avo to step up his game. From a gameplay perspective, this offensive, possibly unpredictable power will change the way you approach enemies.

And as for the current cast of characters, we have some additional notes on them as well:

LEON S KENNEDY

After the Raccoon City Incident, Leon was recruited into government service by one Adam Benford, who would go on to become the current in-game President of the United States. Since those horrific moments at Raccoon City, he’s dedicated to the cause of confronting bioterror wherever it lies.

HELENA HARPER

Another government agent who was just about to become part of the Secret Service. All we really know about her is she regretfully claims to be responsible for the latest outbreak.

CHRIS REDFIELD

Part of the bioterror incidents from the very beginning, Chris continues to take the fight to the frontlines. Some kind of personal trauma, which takes place prior to RE6, haunts Chris, though he’s committed to protecting Lanshiang and serving in the BSAA.

MYSTERY MAN

Still no concrete details on who this is or what his agenda might be (seriously, even I don’t know!), but we can tell he’s a mercenary. At some point he’s told he could save the world, though money seems to be on his mind…

INGRID HUNNIGAN

Eagle-eyed fans probably spotted Leon’s helpful Field Operations Support officer in the trailer. Ingrid continues to aid Leon in his mission.

ADAM BENFORD

The current President of the United States. Though he’s a zombie now, so he’s probably not up to much.

Finally, a microscopic but rather important note on the controls – RE6 will allow players to move and shoot at the same time, plus evade with rolls and take cover behind objects (though as we see with Chris up there, cover isn’t necessarily the safest place to be).

Jonathan Liebesman Eyes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

First announced in 2010, Paramount, Nickelodeon and Platinum Dunes are teaming for a reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, Variety reports that Jonathan Liebesman (upcoming Wrath of the TitansBattle: Los Angeles) is in talks to direct.
Previously, Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway were assigned to draft the project with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol‘s Josh Appelbaum and Andrew Nemec taking over last year. It is still unknown whether they performed a page one rewrite or if they updated the Marcum and Holloway draft.

The franchise, which began as a black and white comic book series in 1984, rose to tremendous popularity when it became an animated series in 1987. Following the first live-action film in 1990, the series spawned two live-action sequels, a live-action television series, a second animated series and a CGI feature film.

Details are few on the new version, but it will be produced by Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form.

Ghost Rider Co-Director Brian Taylor Signs to Twisted Metal.

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance is mere days away from release, but clearly Sony Pictures and producers Avi and Ari Arad must be happy with the results because according to Deadline, they’ve signed a reported 7-figure deal with one of the film’s co-directors, Brian Taylor, to write and direct a movie based on the hugely popular Twisted Metal video game.

A mainstay on various Sony Playstation video game consoles since its introduction in 1995 and with a new version released for the Playstation 3 today, the film will mimic the game’s premise of an underground fight to the death among multiple combatants using armored cars tricked out with missiles, machine guns, mines and the like. The 2001 Playstation 2 game “Twisted Metal: Black” is one of the biggest selling games in the series, having sold 15 million copies worldwide. Characters like the manipulative race organizer Calypso and popular contestants like the homicidal clown Sweet Tooth (whose motorcycle and flaming head may look familiar) and the masked Doll Face are reported to be included in the story.

Taylor has teamed with his long-time partner Mark Neveldine to direct four movies going back to the original Crank in 2006 , followed by the sci-fi thriller Gamer, the sequel Crank: High Voltage and now Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance. A Twisted Metal movie would presumably be Taylor’s solo directing debut.

You can watch our interviews with Neveldine/Taylor on Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance over on SuperHeroHype where they say absolutely nothing about a Twisted Metal movie but do talk about doing another “Crank” movie together.
